Course Description
Course Objective: You will learn to manage outsourced resources and identify the skills
required to do the same.
Target Student: This course is targeted at IT managers and other project managers
who are responsible for managing outsourced personnel or projects with outsourced
personnel.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with project management concepts and knowledge
on effective communication are recommended but not required. To ensure your
success, however, we suggest you take the following Element K courses:
- Project Management for Technical Teams
- Basics of Effective Communication (Second
Edition)
Hardware Requirements
- PC with Intel® Pentium® IV 800 MHz processor or higher
- 512 MB of RAM or higher
- Generic monitor (1024 x 768)
- Display system to project the instructor’s computer
screen

Each computer requires the following software:
