Course Description
Course Objective: You will design, build, and upload a website, develop professional-looking
web pages using the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 application, and create and manage
database-driven websites.
Target Student: The first part of this course (lessons 1–6) is intended for
novice web designers, web developers, website designers, and graphic artists
with some programming background who need to build simple websites and want
to utilize the features of Adobe Dreamweaver CS5. The middle part of this
course (lessons 7–12) is intended for web developers, designers, and
administrators who are familiar with the basic tools and features of Dreamweaver
and who want to expand on existing knowledge to gain intermediate to advanced
skills for creating and maintaining more robust interactive websites. The
last part of this course (lessons 13–18) is intended for web designers
and developers who have experience in using Dreamweaver to build websites
and have a desire to expand on their knowledge to create professional, dynamic
websites. The course covers the ACA and ACE exam objectives for Dreamweaver
CS5, and is intended to help prepare students to take the Adobe Certified
Associate and Adobe Certified Expert exams. Please refer to the media that
accompanies this course for the documents named “Adobe Dreamweaver CS5
ACA Exam Objectives” and “Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 ACE Exam Objectives”
that maps the ACA and ACE objectives to the content in the Dreamweaver CS5
series.
Prerequisites: To ensure your success, we recommend you first take the
following Element K course or have equivalent knowledge:
- Web Design with XHTML, HTML, and CSS :
Level 1.

- 1 GB of RAM or more recommended
- At least 1 GB of available disk space for software installation,
and an additional 150 MB for the course data files

Each computer requires the following software:
